'I was put in a coma by my bosses... they left me with brain damage'
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA man suffered brain damage and spent weeks in a coma following a sickening attack. But James Beaton, from Cardiff, says he is still fighting for justice despite charges being dropped against the two people accused of attacking him.
James, who eight months on remains in hospital, has told WalesOnline he worked as a drug runner in Ely for the two suspects during a period he says he deeply regrets.
The 21-year-old says he wanted to quit but was allegedly prevented from doing so by relentless threats from one of the men. The nightmare culminated on July 13 last year with a beating so vicious that James had his jaw "smashed to bits" and sustained a life-changing brain injury.
Two men were charged with kidnap, grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of knives, but the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) dropped the case after two court appearances.
