Viktoria Plzen's manager told his players to target goalkeeper Andre Onana on Thursday night. Manchester United went 1-0 down just three minutes into the second half against Plzen in the Europa League when Onana attempted to play out from the back and lost the ball.

Onana made several mistakes when he first joined United from Inter Milan but has improved in 2024 and his mistake against Plzen came after an error against Nottingham Forest.

Although Onana's name was sung by fans for the first time against Ipswich Town last month, he has regressed in the last week and is facing questions as the No.1 stopper again. "But the player decided to shoot and it is what it is.
