Speaking to the Manchester Evening News , the woman, who suffers with severe arthritis and other health problems, said she now feels too scared to leave her own home.

The terrifying ordeal happened on Lowther Road just after 11pm on August 6.The woman stepped out for a short two-minute walk – the furthest she can go due to chronic pain – when a man “came out of nowhere”.The man, believed to be aged between 25 to 30 and wearing a dark cap, backpack and teared jeans, told the woman he didn’t know where he was.When told he was on Lowther Road, he asked the way to Prestwich village and was given directions on.
