Scott McTominay stepped off the bench to score a late winner and help Manchester United extend their winning run to four matches with a 2-1 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.
After Douglas Luiz had earlier cancelled out Rasmus Hojlund's opener, the contest in the Midlands looked as though it was going to end all square, putting a huge dent in United's top four ambitions.
However, McTominay connected with Diogo Dalot's excellent cross to snatch an unlikely victory. Despite having been in front for the best part of an hour, United's goal had lived a charmed life, surviving a collection of Villa attacks.
Luiz's 67th minute leveller was nothing more than what the home side had deserved.
