This time last year, marketing consultant Tom Bourlet wouldn't have considered himself much of a money saver. He enjoyed takeaway coffees on his way to the office, treated himself to takeaways and loved going to his pricey gym.

But the pandemic has forced him to change the way he thinks about money after losing 50% of his income. Impressively, the 33-year-old, from Brighton, managed to save an incredible £15,000 over 12 months by making a few changes to his day-to-day life.
