'I refused to buy my colleague lunch from M&S - I don't like her and I'm broke'

The woman, who is a manager, said she was going out for a walk on her break and a colleague with whom she doesn't get on with asked her to get a chicken ready meal if she passed a shop.The mum, who is new at the office, didn't realise the only local store was an M&S and, when she discovered this, she decided that she did not want to pay £5 for the food since she is a "lone parent and broke".She told her colleague that she "didn't feel comfortable" spending so much without asking first, especially as the co-worker hadn't given her any money before she left.
Unsure about whether or not she did the correct thing, she turned to Mumsnet's Am I Being Unreasonable [AIBU] forum, Liverpool ECHO reports.Telling her tale, she wrote: "In the office the other day, I was going to stretch my legs.
A colleague asked me to buy her a chicken ready meal if I went near a shop. I went to Marks and Spencer to buy Percy Pigs. "The ready meals were about £5.
She didn't offer me money before I went, she's not in my team and I might not see her in person for months. I would probably have ended up paying for her lunch."I also don't like her, she's rude and weird and messed with my stuff once because I was using the desk she likes.
