Paying extra to start my holiday with access to an Escape Lounge at Manchester Airport has become just as essential to me as selecting my own seats on the plane.

I was thoroughly impressed by the Escape Lounge at the airport before our trip last year. However, just a few weeks later, a visit to another lounge at the same airport revealed that the quality can vary significantly, as this article explains.

When we visited the Escape Lounge at Terminal 3 last year I was instantly impressed when a waitress presented me with a glass of prosecco within seconds of us signing in.
