A dog owner believes his hound is the biggest in the UK - with the four legged friend weighing the same as a baby elephant. Two-year-old Abu, a Turkish Malakli, stands at 7ft 2in when on his hind legs and weighs just over 18 stone.
His owner Dylan Shaw, 33, feeds him 3kg of meat every day, including one whole chicken, three whole mackerel, two eggs, and raw meat dog food.
Dylan estimates Abu’s diet costs him £11 a day - a little over £4k a year. But Abu is set to become even bigger, and is expected to put on a few more stone in the next year.
