Jurgen Klopp said he would be willing to wait for a bus parade if Manchester City were stripped of Premier League titles for rule-breaking.
Liverpool lost out to Pep Guardiola's side by a point in both 2019 and 2022 as a major in-season rivalry was not reflected in the silverware; Klopp leaves with one league title while Guardiola won his sixth earlier this month.
The Merseyside club also led the 2023/24 campaign for longer than any other team but tailed off in the final third of the season as City and Arsenal powered past them.
City strongly deny any wrongdoing and await a hearing into the Premier League rules they are alleged to have breached, the most serious of which are accusations that they misrepresented their finances over nine seasons between 2009 and 2018.
