Giovanna Fletcher crowned winner by a close margin over runner-up Jordan North. There was less than one per cent in the final vote between podcaster Giovanna and Jordan, a BBC Radio One DJ.
Once Vernon Kay, who finished third, was taken out of the equation, things got extremely tight. In all, more than 12 million votes were case and Giovanna, 35, received 50.
27% of the final vote, while Radio 1 DJ Jordan, 30, got 49. 73%. So she was named Queen of the Castle by the tightest of margins.
The show faced a police probe after a backlash from angry viewers over the release of non-native wildlife into the Welsh countryside during filming.
