I'm A Celeb stars' gruelling 700-calorie daily rations that leave them starving

Stars know that when signing up to appear on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! they won't be dining on culinary delights.

Instead, the campmates are forced to exist on a restrictive diet of rice and beans that totals just 700 calories a day. If they are lucky enough to scoop up stars in Bushtucker Trials, they're able to supplement the basic rations - but the menu is often full of delicacies they are not used to picking up at their local supermarket.

Usually - when the show is filmed in the Australian jungle - the celebs get to taste kangaroo tail and alligator steaks but since this year's series had to relocate to north Wales, the famous faces have been treated to eel, hare and ox tail.
