Reverend Richard Coles is heading into the I'm A Celebrity jungle alongside fellow late entrant, Love Island's Maura Higgins.

However, the TV star only recently suffered two major family losses. The beloved TV personality and ex-pop star Reverend Richard Coles took to social media in August to share that his two dogs, Daisy and Pongo, had passed away.The former Communards band member, now dedicated vicar, posted a poignant tribute online with an adorable photo of his dogs joyfully frolicking together.

His message was moving in its simplicity: "Daisy and Pongo, having lived all their long lives together, departed together today." This loss came soon after Coles mourned his mother Elizabeth's death this February.

Followers quickly flooded the post with consoling comments. One wrote sympathetically, "Very sorry - at least they don't have to be without each other, though you have to be without both." Another sent their love, "I'm so sorry Richard.They were beautiful.
