Strictly Come Dancing next week. The comedian added while she was feeling like a “broken woman” today, she would be taking good care of herself.

Ellie took to Instagram to share an insight into her life amid busy rehearsal schedules with her 176,000 followers. Posting a picture with her hand over her face, she wrote: “I’m a broken woman BUT mum’s dropped round a homemade Shepherds pie and crumble so it’s all going to be OK.”Above the next photo she continued: “(By broken woman I mean I’m a bit tired and I had vodka last night when I should have had camomile tea).“Not the biggest tale of woe is it, but I like drama (and crumble),” she quipped.Posting a final picture of herself looking snug, Ellie added: “Dinner was yumbo and I will be asleep by 8.30pm.”Ellie was revealed as the ninth contestant to have joined this year’s season of Strictly Come Dancing, which will begin next Friday on BBC One.

The comedian, actress and published writer is probably best known for most recently appearing on Apple TV’s hit show Ted Lasso. She has also proved her comedy credentials on shows like Mock the Week, The Mash Report, Live at the Apollo and Late Night Mash. When it was announced Ellie would be joining Strictly she admitted she was extremely excited. She told the BBC: "Well, cover me in fake tan and roll me in sequins! “I'm absolutely over the moon to be a part of Strictly 2022!"I've watched the show for years so to be able to take to the dance floor is a dream come true, for both me and mum who is a Strictly super fan!"At the moment I'm focusing on the excitement and glitter and choosing to ignore the fact that I have the dancing ability of a newly born giraffe.
