A 24-year-old driver caught speeding on the motorway told his insurance company he was a pensioner living in Wales. The driver was stopped by Greater Manchester Police's Traffic team on the M56 this morning (April 20).
In a tweet, police said the car was recording speeding at 108mph. It was later discovered the driver told his insurance company he was a 70-year-old man living in Wales.
He was in fact aged 24 and lived in Manchester. The man took out correct insurance while at the roadside. He was reported for summons for excess speed and insurance offences.
