The mother of one of the four teens killed in a North Wales camping disaster has successfully campaigned for a parliamentary debate on changing driving laws for new drivers.
Crystal Owen, whose son Harvey and three friends died after their vehicle plunged into a ditch and flipped over in rural Gwynedd, has been fiercely campaigning for the introduction of graduated driving licences.
With support from her area's Labour MP Julia Buckley, she has now confirmed that a backbench debate will take place at Westminster Hall on January 28.
MPs such as Alison Gardner, Bayo Alaba, John Milne, and Dr Scott Arthur are expected to participate. Debates give MPs an opportunity to raise local or national issues and receive a response from a government minister.
