'I left England and now live in a tent in Australia so my children can be close to the ground'

A single mum has decided to live in a tent with her two children in order to be "close to the ground". Lucy Aura, 41, spent the previous five months living in a tent full-time after being unable to afford rent for a property.

The yoga teacher says "nature was calling" her and prefers being "close to the ground" instead of a "constricted" modern house.

Lucy, who left London for Australia, says she lets her kids, aged five and seven, run around barefoot and claims they love having a campfire every night for "entertainment".

She only pays £51 a week for her pitch and power on a home-owners land. Lucy, who is now living in Kuranda, in Queensland, said: “I didn’t have money to have my own place.
