A man was left 'shaken' after a car ploughed through into his lounge leaving a gaping hole in the wall. The vehicle struck the property, at the junction of Old Chapel Street and St Matthew's Road in Edgeley on Saturday night (December 14).

The homeowner, who asked to remain anonymous, has lived in the house for seven years with his partner and now two young children.

He was in the garden at the time of the collision, at around 9pm, when he heard a 'huge crash' and his partner 'screaming' from the upstairs bedroom.

He said the crash involved two cars, one of which then ploughed head on into the front of his property and leaving a gaping hole in the wall.
