A woman spent ten years attempting to conceive before a 'miracle' happened. Lauren Whisker, 30, was told she would never have kids due to suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) which affects the function of the ovaries.
She was warned that her chances of having a baby on her own after the diagnosis in 2019 were "very unlikely" so she "gave up hope".
Lauren stopped trying for a baby, however, she was stunned after discovering she was pregnant in July 2021. I went to the doctor and they told me I had PCOS. “They said it was very unlikely I’d be able to have a baby. I just felt sad that I wasn’t going to become a mum. “In July 2021 I woke up with pain in my stomach and rang the doctors as I thought it might be my PCOS.
