An empty washing basket for any family is a pretty rare occurrence. If, on the odd occasion it does happen, it's usually just a matter of hours before something new is chucked in the wash - usually an item one of the kids has worn for a couple of hours and decided they'd rather put in there than hang it back up.
Sorting through it all before actually putting a wash on is a job I detest, or I should say detested. That's because, at the end of my tether, on what could well be the millionth or more time I've separated the colours, from the whites, from the 'it could be eithers', enough was enough.
