Yet, this chap appeared to have missed the culinary memo entirely, to his partner's horror. Sharing the debacle on the 'Rate My Plate' Facebook page, the disappointed girlfriend posted a photo with the caption: "I gave my partner one job. 'Boil the pasta'.

I didn't mean boil it in the f**king kettle." In a move that would make most home cooks mortified, he'd opted to ditch the usual pan routine, instead placing the uncooked pasta directly into the kettle, filling it with water, and turning it on, hoping for the best.
