Love Island returns to screens for 2024 with a group of fresh-faced singletons heading into the famous villa, and from footballers to hairdressers and professional dancers - this year's group has quite the mix.
Not only could they potentially find their soulmate during the ITV2 series, but contestants also have the chance to bag a £50,000 prize if they're crowned King or Queen of the villa.
While some contestants are scouted from the channel, others apply online in the hopes of being picked. And as former contestant Andrea-Jane (AJ) Bunker, who was on the show in 2021, has shared, it's not always easy.The star went through weeks of calls and tests, with her parents even being drafted in to sign paperwork.
AJ described the lengthy process during a chat with OK! previously, where the star explained that she had applied thinking 'nothing of it'. "I headed over to the ITV website and began filling in my application.
