Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel has admitted he is interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane this summer amid interest from Manchester United.
Reds boss Erik ten Hag is desperate to bring in a new centre-forward before the summer transfer window shuts and had earmarked the England captain as his primary target earlier this year.
The forward has just one year left on his contract at Spurs, however United moved on to other targets at the end of May after deciding Kane's current club are unlikely to let him leave ahead of the new season.
However Tottenham owner Joe Lewis has this week informed chairman Daniel Levy that Kane cannot be allowed to run down his contract and he must either be sold or tied down to a new deal.
