A husband and wife found dead in a quiet village were shot, police have confirmed.The couple's bodies were discovered at an address on Smeeton Road in Saddington, Leicestershire, on Friday, December 15.East Midlands Police today named them as Richard and Rachel Harrison, Leicestershire Live reports.The force described the incident as "deeply tragic" as they confirmed the cause of their deaths.Post-mortem examinations revealed Mr Harrison, 59, and Mrs Harrison, 54, died from gunshot wounds.Police enquiries into the death are ongoing, but cops do not believe anyone else was involved in the incident.Detective Inspector David Greenhalgh, from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit major crime team, said: “This is a deeply tragic incident."Officers are continuing to support the family during this extremely difficult time.“We will continue to carry out inquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident, but I can confirm we do not believe anyone else was involved in the incident."
