'Hurts like hell' BBC's Jo Whiley asks fans for advice after suffering arthritic flare up

BBC Radio 2 DJ Jo Whiley has taken to Twitter to seek advice from her followers over the causes of arthritis, after revealing she suffers painful symptoms at night.The radio star, 57, told how her fingers "hurt like hell" by the time she wakes up in the mornings as she asked whether anyone knew the cause of the pain.In view of her 366,000 followers, the BBC Radio 2 DJ asked her followers for their advice.Jo wrote: "*Boring health question*"Anyone fathomed what instigates an arthritic flare up?"I’m stumped," she added.BBC Radio 2 DJ Jo Whiley has taken to Twitter to seek advice from her followers over the causes of arthritis, after revealing she suffers painful symptoms at night.The radio star, 57, told how her fingers "hurt like hell" by the time she wakes up in the mornings as she asked whether anyone knew the cause of the pain.The star went on to reveal that she suffers from the condition badly at night, before listing her symptoms.Jo continued: "I go to bed at night ok(ish)."During the night my fingers randomly seize up/swell/hurt like hell by the time I wake up."I have no idea what I’ve eaten/done to make it happen.

Anyone??" she ended her post.The DJ's followers soon flocked to the comments, inundating the star with messages of support and with useful advice.Twitter user @BobBurrowsI commented: "Get check out for carpal tunnel syndrome."It effects your hands during periods not rest usually at night while your a sleep."While @sharonlhanley suggested the turn of seasons could be the reason for the star's symptoms.They wrote: "Could be the weather.

My wrists always start to hurt when the weather turns colder. V ouchy."It comes after Jo spoke to Express.co.uk earlier this year, explaining how swimming helps her deal.
