The actresses, who are both nominees today, met up on the red carpet at the 2025 Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday afternoon (February 22) at the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles. Hunter is up for Best Lead Performance for her work in the movie Cuckoo while Nava was nominated for Best Supporting Performance in a New Scripted Series for Baby Reindeer.
Early in the show, Hunter and singer Alana Haim teamed up to present the award for Best Supporting Performance in a New Scripted Series and Nava won! Hunter spoke out this week after the gender on her passport was changed from female to male due to President Donald Trump‘s newly implemented policies.
