EXCLUSIVE: Music has continually been a facet of Lionsgate‘s $3 billion Hunger Games franchise going back to ditties from Taylor Swift, Coldplay and Lorde, and with today’s theatrical release of Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, the studio teamed with Spotify for a multi-faceted partnership that shines a spotlight on music’s legacy in the Suzanne Collins franchise.
As part of the pic’s campaign, the studio and Spotify are diving deep into that musical history of the film. Featuring explorations of the previous and new soundtracks, the partnership is highlighted by an opening day (November 17) bespoke “Sounds from Panem” destination available globally including the Hunger Games Official Playlist featuring songs from the new film’s soundtrack, and other playlists inspired by the film like Spotify’s Front Porch playlist.
There’s also a Hunger Games audiobooks shelf available in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and the United Kingdom featuring the series novels.
