Donald Sutherland has heartbreakingly passed away at age 88, with his family sharing the news on social media in a touching tribute.The Canadian actor had a career in Hollywood spanning over seven decades and was awarded a number of accolades, including Emmy, Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards.
In recent years, he is known for portraying President Snow in The Hunger Games. Donald's cause of death has not been shared.
Sharing the news via X, his 57-year-old son Kiefer wrote: "With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away.
I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film. Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more than that.
