Around 400 Go North West staff have walked out over plans to change their contracts, a policy the Unite union is describing as 'fire and rehire'.
Go North West bosses say they need to modernise working practices to turn around the Queen's Road depot in Cheetham Hill, which is losing almost £2million a year.
The two sides have been negotiating for almost a year but Unite balloted for strike action last month after talks broke down.
