Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

A Kilmarnock couple has been overwhelmed by all of the support from the community, after an estimated 200 showed up to their home Christmas light switch-on show, in memory of tragic baby Joey Forte.Jordan Buckland, 22, and Derrie McAlpine, 23, welcomed a massive crowd at their annual Christmas light switch-on at the weekend, in aid of Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) after a grueling two weeks stringing up 60 unique illuminations.The pair chose the charity after they helped care for Jordan's baby cousin Joey who passed away aged just 18 months in 2015 after being diagnosed with Krabbe disease, an extremely rare degenerative disorder of the nervous system.Jordan said: "It was a really emotional night, especially when Derrie gave his speech."The crowds were massive and we weren't expecting such a massive response but it was really good to see. "The crowds were packed into the street and the line went around the house, it was never-ending. "I don't even want to look at my electricity bill when it comes through in a month!
