Much-loved US TV presenter Hugh Downs has died at the age of 99. The Today anchor's sad death was confirmed by his family. Hugh's career spanned a whopping seven decades, but he was best known for co-presenting the daily NBC show.
The TV star will also be remembered for hosting ABC news show 20/20, on which he became famous for his catchphrase "We're in touch, so you be in touch." New York Times reports that Hugh died on Wednesday at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Hugh was born in Ohio and made his debut on TV in 1945 for WBKB-TV. It wasn't long before he was a regular on screens across America.
Fans will also remember him as the host of popular gameshow Concentration, which was inspired by a card game made for children.
