A police helicopter has been seen circling a Scottish town, with a number of officers on foot also at the scene amid an ongoing incident .

Witnesses reported six police vans and officers on Rosewell Road near Lasswade Rugby Club, in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian. A police helicopter was seen in the sky overhead around 4.30pm and was circling the area into the evening.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.30 pm on Friday, June 16, police attended the Rosewell Road area of Bonnyrigg as part of an ongoing police investigation.
