With her 42nd birthday being celebrated today (Tuesday, 9 January) it has been predicted that there will be another cause for celebration in the years to come with one of the most important royal accolades being granted to the Princess.
While she is already a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, Kate is expected to become a member of the prestigious Order of the Garter one day - as experts predict it'll happen sooner rather than later.
Steeped in historical significance, the Order of the Garter ceremony is the oldest order of chivalry in Britain and sees a select number of royals and other key public figures attend a service at St George’s Chapel every June.
