Huge investment into Altrincham town centre is taking another step forward with road layout changes, new seating areas and cycle ways planned.
Work is starting from as early as this summer as Trafford council continues its investment in Altrincham town centre with a number of changes, including a reversal of Market Street’s one way system in an attempt to reduce traffic speed.
Work is planned to start in early summer 2022 and is due to be completed in late 2023 and is designed to improve traffic flow, road surfaces, outdoor seating areas, footpaths and cycle lanes throughout the area. Scheduled changes include: The first phase of the improvement work is set to start with the George Street and Market Street changes and will start in late spring/early summer 2022 with completion expected in late this year.
