Huge fire above Scots restaurant as smoke seen for miles
dailyrecord.co.ukEmergency services are tackling a huge fire above a restaurant in Dunfermline that broke out earlier this evening.Firefighters were called to Canmore Street in the newly anointed Fife city shortly before 6pm on Friday.
Images shared on social media show flames spewing from the upstairs windows of the building, which hosts Khushi's Indian restaurant.Video footage shared with the Record shows the fire burning out of windows and doors on the top floor of the three-storey building.
Shocked locals can only watch as the building burns, while firefighters draw up to the scene.An aerial image of the scene shows that the fire has eaten its way through the roof.
The wooden beams that make up the building's top have been exposed by the vicious flames.Police say they are providing the fire service with logistical support on the ground, redirecting traffic away from the city centre blaze.
