A number of deals which will help consumers save hundreds on their energy bills have become available ahead of the price hike next month.
The deals come as gas and electricity will cost more for 15 million homes in October due to the price cap rising on out-of-contract energy tariffs.
Last month Ofgem, the energy regulator, confirmed that a new cap rate of £1,277 will take effect from October 1, meaning t he typical customer is likely to see their energy bill for gas and electricity go up by £139.
The cap is a limit on the unit rate and standing charge that energy suppliers can charge for their standard variable - or 'default' - tariffs.
