Manchester City welcome Real Madrid to the Etihad for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tonight at 8pm (UK time).
The two sides met at this stage of the competition in 2016 with Los Blancos advancing to the final after beating City 1-0 on aggregate.
However, City triumphed in the last 16 against Real in 2020, running out 4-2 winners on aggregate. Pep Guardiola’s side saw off Spanish opposition in the last round, overcoming Atletico Madrid 1-0 on aggregate after a fractious tie.
Real reached the last four after edging past Chelsea 5-4 over two legs, largely thanks to Karim Benzema's heroics in front of goals.
