Manchester City continue their Champions League campaign by welcoming Real Madrid to the Etihad Stadium for the first leg of their knockout phase play-off tie.
After finishing 22nd in the league phase courtesy of a 3-1 win over Club Brugge on the final matchday, they face the reigning champions, who came 11th.
Much like City, the Spanish side have struggled so far this month, being beaten by Espanyol and needing a 93rd-minute winner to overcome Leganes in the Copa del Rey in their last two away games.
