Emiliana Betancourt Hiccup and Toothless are finally in live-action for the first time ever. Universal Studios has released the first trailer for its live-action adaptation of “How to Train Your Dragon,” after the popular DreamWorks Animation trilogy was released in the 2010s.
The new movie flies into theaters on June 13. The live-action version includes many of the original characters played by new faces.
Among these are Mason Thames (“The Black Phone”) as Hiccup, Nico Parker (“Dumbo,” “The Last of Us”) as Astrid and Julian Dennison (“Deadpool 2”) as Fishlegs Ingerman.
Gerard Butler plays Hiccup’s father Stoick the Vast, after the voiced the character in the animated trilogy. The trailer introduces Hiccup, Stoick and Toothless, who look exactly like their animated counterparts.
