Youngsters were promised an 'immersive' world 'where chocolate dreams become reality' but were instead met with a warehouse full of makeshift props and no special effects to be seen.It turns out that the event's creators had used AI-style fake images that were used to advertise tickets, which cost £35.
Experts have warned that these situations could become more common as AI gets more advanced.Joe Davies, founder of FatJoe, a leading digital marketing agency, has some expert tips to help consumers spot AI images and make sure they don’t get fooled. “As more and more companies start to advertise with AI images, there’s an urgent need for increased awareness among consumers around how to spot them."At first glance AI images can look totally normal, but once you start to zoom in and look at the finer details, they’re rarely perfect.
Here are some of the main things to look out for."Joe recommends looking at any people or animals in the images first, because AI really tends to struggle with the finer details of a human or animal body.Pay close attention to the hands - you might see extra fingers, missing fingers, abnormally long or short fingers, unnatural bends, or fingers that blend together.
