A string of chains and independent restaurants have said that they will keep offering 50% off food after the Eat Out to Help Out scheme ends.
The Government-backed discount offered anyone dining in on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in August 50% off food and non-alcoholic drinks - up to £10 a person.
It proved wildly popular, with 100 million discounted meals served across 84,700 restaurants. With bookings up 216% on the final day, a lot of restaurants have decided to keep going and fund it themselves, while others have brought in offers of their own to replace the ones lost.
Nationwide chains including TGI Fridays, Pizza Hut, Wetherspoons and more have launched discounts, while Deliveroo decided to take money off take aways too.
