Long before the GC and her ‘diva’ on lockdown antics, there was JC, the original diva, better known as Dame Joan Collins. Joan will lead the Nation’s Toast to the Heroes today at 3pm in honour of the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
The Daily Mail reports that Dame Joan, whose childhood home was destroyed in the Blitz while she slept in a Tube station, will lead the toast from the balcony of her London apartment to highlight the role played by women in the war.
She told The Mail on Sunday: ‘We must never forget the selflessness of all those who sacrificed so much to keep us free during the Second World War.
