The Manchester Christmas Markets have got underway today - sprinkling festive cheer across the city centre once again. Playing host to hundreds of traders, this year's markets are set to be bigger - and longer - than ever before.

Now spanning a whopping six weeks, the event will take place across nine different spots around the city, including popular locations in Piccadilly Gardens and Exchange Square.
