Wanderers will be playing in the third tier of English football next season after sealing automatic promotion out of League Two.

It did not look likely at one stage when Bolton were in the bottom half of the table earlier on in 2021, but a remarkable turnaround which involved an unbeaten run of 14 games ensured the Trotters ended the season in the top three.
