How Aldi shoppers can get four years' worth of groceries from 'UK's cheapest supermarket'

January can be a difficult time financially for many people. It might be music to shoppers' ears, then, that a leading supermarket was recently crowned the UK's cheapest. Consumer watchdog Which?

conducts a monthly comparison of prices across eight major supermarkets to help shoppers get the best value. Out of major retailers including Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's, Aldi took the title once again.

Last year, the German budget chain took the crown for all 12 months, making it the cheapest overall. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Aldi has been named the most affordable supermarket in the UK.“This recognition continues Aldi’s remarkable track record of delivering savings to our customers and we’re delighted to have consistently offered top-quality products at the lowest prices across the country," said Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi.To celebrate the achievement, Aldi is giving away a whopping £20,000 to one lucky shopper - equivalent to four years' worth of shopping.
