Martin Lewis has issued an urgent reminder for billpayers across the country ahead of a major energy bill change. On Sunday, Ofgem's new price cap will come into effect, dropping from £2,074 to £1,923.

It signifies the lowest energy price cap level since October 2021, reflecting drops in wholesale energy prices. Now, Mr Lewis is urging people to take a meter reading ahead of the major change which should see bills drop by an average of 7 per cent.

It's important to note though that actual bill costs will vary depending on how much energy you use.
