The Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend is expected to get off to a sunny start in Greater Manchester. Highs of 19C are forecast for the region today although some areas could see rain later on.
According to the Met Office, Thursday will start dry and bright with plenty of sunshine. However, cloud will bubble up through the morning to give a scattering of showers by about midday.
Most places are expected to stay dry throughout the afternoon, though, with sunny spells. Forecasters say the weather will turn cloudier throughout Thursday evening with showers and longer spells of rain becoming more widespread from about 9pm. In Greater Manchester, temperatures will reach a low of 13C overnight. By 8am on Friday, the worst of the rain is expected to have passed, although it will remain cloudy throughout the rest of the day.
