Horror on Salford street as 'gunman on motorbike' opens fire yards from school

A 'gunman on a motorbike' opened fire on a Salford property, yards away from a primary school. Officers are searching for the suspect after 'three shots' were fired on Queen Street, off Manchester Road East, in Little Hulton.

Police were called out to reports of a firearms discharge at the scene at around 5.55pm on Friday evening (December 27). Greater Manchester Police says it's believed that three shots were fired at a property, by an unknown offender or offenders, in a targeted incident.

The suspect is believed to have been on a motorbike. Thankfully, no injuries were reported following the incident. GMP says no arrests have been made so far and enquiries are ongoing.

A cordon has been in place on Queen Street this morning, yards away from the entrance to St Edmunds RC Primary School. Forensics officers have been seen going in and out of a property.
