A Delta Air Lines plane flipped upside down in a horrific crash while landing at an airport in Toronto. Shocking images show the plane having apparently flipped with emergency crews at the scene.

The plane was arriving at the Canadian city from Minneapolis when the accident happened. Peel Paramedic Services said at least eight people were injured following an incident, with reportedly close to 80 people on board. "Toronto Pearson is aware of an incident upon landing involving a Delta Airlines plane arriving from Minneapolis.

Emergency teams are responding. All passengers and crew are accounted for," a spokesperson for the airport said. Paramedics confirmed to CP24 that up to eight people were injured, adding they are unsure of the extent of injuries.

It is understood that it was Delta Airlines CRJ-900, operating as Delta Flight 4819 from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) to Toronto (YYZ), that was involved in the incident, the Mirror reports.
