The Sunday Times has named three Greater Manchester areas in its list of the best places to live in the UK this year. The comprehensive guide, which is released annually, looks at all areas across the UK and assesses the qualities that make up a desirable area to live.
Along with Ancoats and Stockport, Sale was featured on the list as one of Greater Manchester's best areas. The Trafford town has become a popular place to live, work and visit in recent years thanks to recent investment which has brought the town centre to life.
Built along the Bridgewater Canal, Sale includes the areas of Sale Moor and Ashton on Mersey. It boasts a variety of independent and well-known shops, cafes, bars and restaurants with its central hub Stanley Square having become a buzzing food, drink and shopping destination.
