A woman has been left with a five-inch scar across her neck after a woman plunged a knife into her on a busy street in the middle of the afternoon leaving passersby horrified.Savanna Hawkes was living on the streets with her partner, when she stabbed her victim after an argument on the afternoon of July 21 of last year in Stockton.

A crowd of people watched as the 27-year-old retrieved a knife from her pocket and stabbed the victim as blood began to pour from her neck, on Hartington Road reports Teeside Live. The mum's partner Daniel Fenwick, 28, was then seen putting his hands around the victim's neck, but prosecutors could not be sure if he was trying to stem the blood flow or cause further harm to the victim.Hawkes was captured on CCTV chatting to someone in the street, before approaching a woman and arguing with her.Seconds later, Hawkes stabbed the woman with what prosecutor Anthony Pettengell said was a kitchen knife but the weapon was never found.A court heard that Hawkes is the step-daughter of the victim's partner.

Her own partner then became involved in a more minor fight with the victim's partner following the shocking attack. The woman was rushed to hospital, where the wound on her neck was stitched up and required internal stitches to her throat, which was damaged. She also had to be fed through a nasal tube and has been left with, "extensive and obvious scarring."In a statement read out to the court, the woman said: "I was in a hospital for a week having my neck reconstructed.

I have been left with a five-inch scar on my neck. I thought I was going to die."I thought I'd never see my mother or children again.
